To the North

by Bruce W. Perry

In the wake of the cataclysmic Yellowstone caldera eruption, Brad Garner is left adrift in a United States transformed into a desolate ash land. Haunted by despair and loss, he stumbles upon a faint signal that gives him a spark of purpose: journey to the north. Accompanied only by an abandoned dog named Tanya, Garner sets out through the wasteland, his path interweaving with survivors including Zeke Sanchez, a veteran with desert survival skills, and Giovanna, a grieving Red Cross nurse. Their quest for salvation is laden with peril, as they face not only the ruthless environment but also secretive government officials with an enigmatic agenda revolving around an AI experiment and the supervolcano. 'To the North' is a poignant odyssey of human resilience and the unyielding pursuit of hope amidst devastation.
