The Last Tribe

by Brad Manuel

In a desolate world ravaged by a lethal pandemic, young Greg Dixon is stranded at a boarding school near Boston as the last survivor. Isolated and running out of resources, Greg embarks on a treacherous hundred-mile journey to his grandparents' town in New Hampshire, clinging to the hope of reuniting with his family. Despite the catastrophic situation, his father, John, and his uncles, seemingly immune but separated by chaos, hold onto the possibility of converging in the north. As winter fades, the Dixon men begin their perilous trek, encountering the remnants of humanity along the way, and endeavor to form a new community, the last tribe, in a bid to preserve the echoes of civilization.
