Raised among tombstones and spectres, Nobody Owens, affectionately known as Bod, is an unusual boy whose childhood unfolds within the sheltered boundaries of a graveyard. Tutored by the dead in lessons beyond ordinary curricula, Bod grows in knowledge and courage. Yet, the world beyond the gates harbours the lingering threat of his family's assassin, a peril Bod must eventually face. As Bod matures, so must his understanding of life and death, companionship, and solitude.
