We're All Damaged

by Matthew Norman

Andy Carter's comfortable Midwestern life spirals downward when his wife leaves him. After losing his job and ruining a wedding, he moves to New York, seeking a fresh start but haunted by his past. A visit back to Omaha for a family farewell brings him face-to-face with his chaotic history, including his estranged ex-wife and a conservative mother entrenched in politics. Despite these challenges, a chance encounter with Daisy, a free-spirited woman with her own burdens, offers Andy hope. But Daisy's secret could be the undoing of Andy's quest for happiness, as it propels them both towards a future of uncertainty and the potential for redemption.
