Today Will Be Different

by Maria Semple

Eleanor Flood is well aware of her chaotic life but decides that today will be different. As she makes a plan for a day focused on self-improvement, including attending yoga, getting dressed, and reviving her marital relationship, her efforts are quickly upended. Her son Timby fakes illness to stay with her, and her husband unexpectedly announces a vacation to everyone except Eleanor. Amidst the turmoil, an old colleague surfaces with a graphic memoir that threatens to unearth long-hidden family secrets. 'Today Will Be Different' is a comedic yet touching narrative of a woman grappling with the realities of life, sisterhood and the journey of self-discovery.
