In the tranquil town of Suavidad Beach, Jeffy Coltrane has strived to maintain a mundane existence with his young daughter, Amity, after his wife's disappearance. Their routine life is disrupted when an eccentric known as Spooky Ed entrusts Jeffy with a peculiar device he calls 'the key to everything.' Vehemently advised against using it, the curiosity gets the better of Jeffy and Amity, leading to their inadvertent discovery of its true power: the ability to traverse parallel universes, each with its own wonders and horrors. Amidst marvels and menaces, the possibility of reconnecting with their lost loved one lingers. However, they are not alone in their knowledge of the key's abilities.
