Four best friends, Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget, find a vintage pair of jeans that miraculously fits each of them, despite their different shapes and sizes. Dubbing them the Traveling Pants, they devise a plan to stay connected over the summer by sharing the pants along with their stories as they are each scattered to different destinations. As the pants journey between them, they touch and transform their lives in ways that none of them could have anticipated. Their stories are woven together by the bonds of friendship, newfound experiences of love, challenges of transformation, and the magic of the Pants themselves.
