Strange Journey

by M. Cairnes

Strange Journey is a humorous exploration of class and identity set in 1930s Britain. Lady Elizabeth, an aristocrat, and Polly Wilkinson, a middle-class woman, find their minds inexplicably swapped, each facing the bewildering and comedic challenge of navigating a world that is not their own. With each unexpected switch, the women grapple with societal norms and personal predicaments, leading to a series of mishaps and revelations. This body-swap narrative cleverly satirizes the rigidity of social classes while probing the notion of self, culminating in a heartwarming resolution as the characters gain insight, control their abilities, and impact one another's lives for the better.
